This non-profit foundation promotes diversity in art and culture. It was founded in 1983 and is based in Munich. Since then, it has initiated and supported a variety of cultural projects with a focus on visual arts and architectural culture. Its largest and most important commitment is the Kunsthalle München, an internationally renowned exhibition venue in the heart of downtown Munich.
In times of rapid change and advancing technological innovation, the foundation focuses in particular on promoting progressive artistic ideas and positions and creating a network for exchange. The foundation cordially invites you to learn more about us and our work!

Kunsthalle München
The Kunsthalle München is one of Germany’s leading exhibition venues and welcomes around 350.000 visitors annually. Since its opening in 1985, it has presented over 100 exhibitions covering the entire spectrum of art history from prehistory and early history to the present day. With its commitment to excellence and innovation, the Kunsthalle München remains a shining beacon of cultural diversity and an indispensable part of Germany’s cultural heritage.

Our Funding Program
In addition to the Kunsthalle München, the Hypo-Kulturstiftung (Hypo Cultural Foundation) has supported a wide variety of projects focusing on the visual arts and architectural culture since its inception. In particular, it has made a decisive contribution to the development of monument preservation in Bavaria.

Support & Participate
The foundation appreciates any form of financial support to ensure the sustainable implementation of its projects. In addition to direct monetary donations, we also welcome endowments, bequests, and legacies. There are many ways to customize a project or endowment.
